AuSCR News – August 2020

The newly developed AuSCR paediatric dataset will form an integral part of the Paediatric Acute Code Stroke (PACS) study, a national study funded by the Commonwealth Government’s Medical Research Future Fund (MRFF), and supported by the Stroke Foundation.

The PACS study is being led by Associate Professor Mark Mackay and coordinated by Ms Belinda Stojanovski from the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. The study will see major tertiary paediatric centres nationally contributing data to the AuSCR in an effort to guide quality improvement activities in hospitals to reduce variations in care delivery, and ultimately provide evidence of reduced deaths, disability and recurrent stroke.
