Sixty-five hospitals contributed data to the AuSCR in 2023, and the report includes analysis on 18,090 episodes of stroke care.  Nationally, we were pleased to see improvements in swallowing being assessed before oral intake, provision of a care plan on discharge and anti-hypertensive medications provided at discharge.  However, there is still significant variation between hospitals, 1 in 5 patients were not treated in a stroke unit, and only 35% of patients received thrombolytic therapy within the recommended 60 minutes.
